A very secluded, woodsy  anchorage. The only problem was getting "flashed" a couple of times during the night by the tows. We anchored on the east side close to the entrance to avoid the strong north wind. Apparently this was too close for the tows.

Very poor, but free, docking facilities.
During the night someone/something created a wake that slammed the boat against the piling so hard that it split the wood on the rub rail.

There were no facilities around and nothing to see or do there.

The highway traffic was very noisy because of the metal bridges.

A good place to get off the ICW
for a night or two. Construction is underway to make it even better. They already have water and trash bins. The pump out stations are installed but not yet working.  Landscaping is underway. The area on the opposite bank is already complete and makes for a beautiful walking area.
A nice, quiet anchorage.
We needed a quiet evening to prepare us for the stress of the locks, bridges and long waits the next day crossing the mighty Mississippi into New Orleans.
